Cynosure Elite IQ treatments
Prior to your appointment, the treatment area should be clean shaven.
During the procedure, the Skintel melanin reader will measure your skin and adjust treatment settings according to your skin type and tone. The laser handpiece is guided across the skin in which a laser energy is emitted. The energy is absorbed by the hair follicles and converted to heat, disabling the follicle’s growth.
Gradual results can be seen over time, and multiple treatments are often needed for the best outcomes. The number of treatments necessary is dependent on the treated area’s size. Each session lasts about 30 minutes.
Recovery from Cynosure Elite IQ treatments
Following sessions, you may experience temporary redness and irritation in the treatment area. There is no required downtime, which allows patients to freely return to their everyday routines. It is important to avoid exposing the treated skin to UV light for at least two weeks after treatment. Also avoid shaving the area for 72 hours and excessive scrubbing for four to five days.
Slight swelling or redness may occur temporarily around vein treatment areas. There is no downtime required after laser vein therapy, and patients can return to their normal daily routines quickly. Compression stockings may need to be worn for about a week following treatment.
